The Fjord Sapphire Ring by Emily Nixon – Icy blue sapphires that appear to be caught in a ravine of gold, with a character as if formed by nature. Created in Cornwall by Emily, and cast in refined, recycled 18ct gold using the traditional lost wax process.

Constant experimentation, playfulness and development of ideas, alongside a mindfulness of the relationship each piece has with the wearer, drives Emily’s creative process and output. The dichotomy of the precious and the organic – special stones encircled by sea-worn fragments of gold – characterises so much of her inspiration. At the heart of Emily Nixon’s work remains the sculpture and tapestry of her early fine art practice.
